How much does it cost to fix my leaking wing/kite bladder?
Valves
We need to do a kite/wing check ($15) to find out wich valve or valves are leaking.
Valves sometimes come loose from the bladder mostly due to the heat. If one valve starts leaking it can mean in some cases that the other valves will come loose soon. If all valves need to be replaced it is probably better to replace with a complete bladder-set instead of repairing valve by valve.
The average price of a onepump valve is $20 (A 5 strut kite have 10 in total)
Average it will be between $15 up to $40 for assembling a valve depending on the place on the bladder.
Please note: If we repair your broken valve there is always a chance that another valve will break next week, next month or next year.
Pinholes / Sand/ Salty bladder
We need to do a kite/wing check $15 to find out what’s wrong with youre kite.
Normal pinholes we can repair 100% without any problem.
Sometimes a bladder is full of dirt (sand/salt crystals) wich produce mircoholes in youre bladder. Its impossible to repair these salt bladders 100% in this case we will contact you to discuss the next step.
average price for patching pinholes is $15 up to $40
Explosion
You have a big exploded area in your bladder for example 20 cm x 20 cm.
we use professional sealing technics to repair this.
Average prices are $35 up to $95 for sealing repairs.
How much does a set of bladders cost?
You can always decide to only replace the broken strut or broken leading edge.
We do recommend to replace all the bladders in 1 time. In this way you avoid deflating kites/wings on your Friday afternoon session or holiday.
